New FAUbox Version
Since yesterday, 27th of November 2024 a new software version of FAUbox is active. It offers a few new features:
- Links with the permission read/write can be used for online editing via Onlyoffice (no upload possible)
- Android can show all files of a folder, even if there are several thousand of it.
- Better, more user friendly website
- Denial of service prevention (too many requests …)
- Communication via websockets (HTTP tunnel and other ports will vanish soon; HTTPS port is all you will need)
- API for restore of top level folders (will be integrated into the website to be reachable for normal users)
- Preparation for ECP-free authentification using SSO
- Failed invitations will cause a delivery status notification (DSN) directly to the sending person
- First version of an outlook plugin available (will be updated to work like the Thunderbird plugin)
- Lot of security fixes …
